    Welcome to

    WorthingHigh School

It is my great privilege to welcome you to Worthing High School, a vibrant, high-attaining and inclusive secondary school for Years 7 to 11.

As the founding school of South Downs Education Trust, we are proud of our heritage and the rich education we offer: one that builds confidence, character and ambition in every student who walks through our doors.

At the heart of everything we do is our motto: Always Pursue Excellence. For us, excellence isn't a single standard applied to everyone in the same way, it's a personal pursuit. We believe every student has their own version of excellence to reach for, whether that's in the classroom, on the sports field, on stage, or in the way they support one another as members of our school community. Our role is to know each student well enough to help them find that path and support them every step of the way.

This ambition is underpinned by our core values: excellence, respect, integrity, resilience and community. These core values shape our classrooms, our corridors and our relationships with one another. They are not simply words on a wall; they are the everyday standards by which we live and work together.

We are and will always remain, a caring and forward-thinking community where every student is valued, supported and inspired to achieve their best. High attainment and genuine inclusivity go hand in hand here: we hold high expectations for all and we make sure every student has what they need to meet them.

We hope you enjoy exploring our website and we warmly invite you to visit us and see for yourself the spirit of Worthing High School in action.
