Google Classroom
‘Google Classroom’ is an online learning platform which creates digital ‘classrooms’ for the classes students attend in school. In these ‘classrooms’, students can view and submit assignments set by their teachers, access resources and links posted by their teachers and, in some cases, work collaboratively online with their teachers and peers.
At Worthing High School, we use ‘Google Classroom’ to set homework, coursework at Key Stage 4, IT-based classwork and to set remote learning when students are unable to attend school due to Covid-19.
At the start of the academic year, parents and guardians are invited by email to receive weekly ‘guardian summaries’ which inform guardians of all the assignments set for their child, any assignments which have not been submitted and are overdue and any other relevant information posted by their child’s teacher.
